Rae Lynn Nettles, LPC/MFT, ND, MHC, therapist, consultant, wife, mother of three children with unique needs, and active community member, grew up in a large family in suburban Georgia. She graduated from a small town high school and moved on to college to pursue her career path. She attended and graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Educational Psychology and minored in Rehabilitation Counseling. Again in 1995, she graduated from the University of Georgia with a Master of Education Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy.

Upon graduation, she served as a Child and Adolescent Counselor for two community mental health centers in northeast Georgia. With a family move to central Georgia, she began in 1998 working as a family therapist with a private non-profit agency serving at-risk youth families in their homes and in their local communities. She earned her licensure as a Professional Counselor in 1999. By 2001, she took a leadership role at the private non-profit agency to continue providing and supervising 15+ staff in providing for the needs of at-risk youth and families, writing and receiving federal grant monies for 5 consecutive years while establishing her own private practice. She is registered on the Prevent Child Abuse Georgia Referral Guide for approved providers.
